It can be good in single player. I just think it's stupid you have to wait the equivalent of 40 years before the leader you're at war with will even talk to you.

In Civ 4 at least, the Beyond the Sword expansion really added a lot value to democracy and espionage in even single player games. I'm hoping that in Civ V they'll have an even more significant impact on the game.

I liked it but I think they need to do something about fixing the later parts of the game because it gets ridiculously bogged down.
