Oblivion's main quest line wasn't that long, maybe 12 hours, tops. But the other quests are what's up.
It's not like a Final Fantasy where every quest is just a short break from the main one, The main quest is just a short break from all the other ones.

Any of you guys had any trouble getting the Blood on the Ice quest in Windhelm?
No.
Thanks for the input.
Try purchasing the killer's house, that might start it.
heh, not sure if trolling...
you need to complete blood on the ice to buy the house.
possible spoilers
oh whoops.
well idk then, it was one of the first quests that triggered for me so maybe if you wait too long it glitches
yeah, it sounds like it does. a lot of people are having this problem.
just spent the past hour using console commands to fix it though, so now i have the house all cleaned up and nicely decorated.
didn't get to do the quest though :(.
that house is the worst. congratulations on buying your very own murder house complete with dead bodies in your enchanting nook.
well all that is gone now, i got it cleared so its ok.
house is still fairly buggy though, shadows and floor textures in some rooms being weird.
Must have mod.

He shouldn't have been able to pickpocket that guy after he had already been caught
Played a little bit of this, didn't get too far, because it wasn't my system, so I get very limited time on it, but it seems Conjuration is OP. Your minions, even if it's just a Zombie and a Familiar(or a Flame Atronach), you are going to own when you walk into a dungeon.
VS there are a lot of things in the game that are OP but conjuration is not one of them.
VS if you are not feeling challenged try cranking up the difficulty from sissy baby to big boy and tell me you can still waltz through dungeons.
Novice doesn't mean hardest?
all of skyrims difficultys aren't that hard. I'm playing it on master and haven't been challenged in a while...
the only part of master difficulty that is hard is the boss fight in Proving Honor but who knows that may have just been my build that sucked at that particular fight
also if you don't know what you're doing at first, fighting dragons can be tedious (but not really hard)
Ok so I have been wanting to check this game out, and I played it for a descent amount yesterday. I was playing on my friends little brothers xbox. He was a level 11 High Elf or some shit.
We were in some mine looking for an Elder scroll and it is FUCKING hard. The Dwarven Spiders and all the other Dwarven robot shit is fucking so hard to kill. We started just running past everything.
Well now we have a elevator or some shit we found so we dont have to go through everything again when we want to go back to it, and when it goes down, there are like 5 Falmers there with lightning swords and Ice spells. Its seriously impossible to get past that part. Im thinking just do side quests till he levels up and then go back and rape face.
did you try hitting them with your sword
Yes.
Anyways, I went get the game for myself. I ended up choosing an Orc and I mainly use a big ass War Hammer and alot of Heavy Armor. Im level 17 right now and I can pretty much kill most enemies with 1-3 hits.
Also, the story line quests are so short. I beat it in like 4 days. And the final battle with Alduin was also insanely easy. I hardly took any damage and killed him on my first shot. A normal dragon is harder to kill than him.
i guess a warhammer works too

Anyone still playing this?
Of course. I finished the main storyline on my main character at the weekend. I thought it ended very abruptly, wasn't too happy with that, but apart from that the ending was cool.
Mage or melee weapon char next i think.
You?
Im still on the same character. The main quest was really short, but all the other quest lines are pretty much like a whole other game. The College of Winterhold ones were my favorite so far. Ive also finished the Thief's Guild and Dark Brotherhood quests. Think Im gonna do the Daedric quests next.
So far Im a level 32 Orc. My main weapon is a big warhammer that I enchanted with fire damage. Once Im finished with this character, Im gonna go through it again and use mostly magic.
Yeah, I still play on and off.
I decided to make an orc dual-weilding melee character and try and min/max as best I could without using the alchemy/enchanting/blacksmithing exploit.
I can take down elder dragons in one power attack on master difficulty.
I play off and on, trying to work in other games now too like LA Noire that I was playing before Skyrim and thus were neglected. I installed the high-res texture pack so I'm excited to check that out when I get an hour or so to play it more.
