UPDATE: Ok I've played for a total of 20 hours so far. I'm about a third finished with the pokedex and over half done with gym badges. I'm starting to find the more in-depth storyline annoying. Every gym leader wants me to help him complete some dumb task before I can challenge him. Also my in game friends are fairly annoying too.
Another thing, I'm still waiting for a challenging puzzle. In the previous games there were always a few mazes spread throughout. So far in this game there's only been one and it was so short and so easy I don't think it even qualifies. I'm really craving a good warehouse/cave maze right about now.
