Awesome game.
Visceral combat.
Ugly world beautifully rendered.
The story is grittier than any you'll find in any RPG made in the last 10 years (except maybe The Witcher 1).
Surprising level of flexibility in character development belied by the initial impression of a hack-n-slash warrior.
And it's actually difficult.
There are some things that might turn off players at first: there's a lot of dialog at the beginning, and the VERY long beginning is extremely linear though the world opens up by a huge extent after (about 40 hours or more per game without nearly seeing everything). Finally some of the information screens are a little neurotic, the worst of it being a dense paragraph of modifiers in the stat section which has no organization.
But this is going to get wide-spread critical praise because of its innovation and awesome design, and fewer sales than it deserves because it's not released by one of the giant evil empire corporations of gaming.
You can get it DRM FREE for only $45 at gog.com, or from Steam (with DRM... and for $50 I think). If it'll push you into buying it, the developers are some of the good guys that actually respect their players.
