anyway I'm not really a fanboy either way except the ati propriety linux drivers are apparently still not as good as the nvidia ones so that was a deciding factor, also I don't get as good of impressions about ati manufacturers as I do about EVGA, pity ati stopped making their own (I mean foxconn makes everything but since shit is bound to go wrong its having a 'manufacturer' that won't run you in circles)

Well this card is fucking incredible.
Runs everything maxed out at 60fps, and I haven't seen it come above 74 degrees, usually stays around 55 though, even while load.
The fans haven't gone above 35% so its ultra quiet.
More than happy.

The extra execution threads provided by hyperthreading are like 70% as effective as those provided by extra cores, and when most gaymes don't even have 4 threads running at any one time that'll peg the CPU, it's really just a gimmick. The 2MB more L3 is probably nice.
I'm glad I have the embedded graphics so I can drop this processor into a htpc and not have to buy some semi-shitty discreet card whenever I upgrade next (probably in 8 years at my current rate)

I've played a ton of cs:s I haven't played cs since like 2006, it's the shit; also some bfbc2.
it runs minecraft pretty well
my only real gripe is that the drivers for the nic in the linux kernel are shit, drops out like every 5 minutes (or less) and I have to reset the interface
also I will never be able to enjoy computing without an ssd ever again
I am kinda wishing I had some really new/demanding games so I could tax the shit out of my cpu/ram/gpu, the newest I've got is like borderlands (dunno what it looks like, still have to download) and bfbc2 (not that new)
just torrent crysis2 or the witcher 2 or something
