    Default Comic Book Men

Anyone else gonna watch this tonight? It premieres today at 10/9c on AMC (right after Walking Dead).

It's a reality show about Kevin Smith's comic book store and I guess fanboy culture.

    from: http://www.amctv.com/shows/comic-book-men/about
AMC's new unscripted one hour series, Comic Book Men, dives deep into fanboy culture by following the antics in and around master fanboy Kevin Smith’s New Jersey comic shop, Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash. The six part series documents the daily banter of the Stash staff and customers as they geek out over mind-blowing pop culture artifacts and the legends behind them. Comic Book Men features Secret Stash employees Walt, manager and de-facto leader; Mike, a comic book virtuoso; Ming, the store’s technical expert and go-to whipping boy; and Bryan, who doesn’t actually work at the Stash, yet can always be found perched on a stool behind the front counter. As the team buys, sells and discovers the treasures of the comic collecting world, they share all the juicy details with Kevin through their outrageous podcast, which is woven throughout the series. The Secret Stash is not only a place for these comic book men to buy and sell, but it’s also a refuge for many to hang out and be part of a community that loves comics.

I usually don't like these types of shows but I'm willing to watch this first episode because I love comics.

(This also comes on the same time as the premiere of Stephen Hawking's Sci Fi Masters I still haven't made up my mind which one I'm watching the broadcast of)

I'm a pretty huge Kevin Smith nerd, so like everything on TV, I'm recording it.

"Masters of Science Fiction" (the original title of "Stephen Hawking's Sci-fi Masters") was originally aired on ABC in '07. It's a 6-part series.

Yeah I love Kevin Smith so I'll definantly be checking it out, it just helps to remember that it's on right after the Walking Dead.

So yeah I liked the show and will continue watching. It was kinda like Pawn Stars but with comic book memorabilia. I don't see how this show has any appeal to non-nerds though.

Cause it's Kevin Smith, although in a limited capacity. But it was good, it's just like you said Pawn Stars, and a mix of Podcasts. Which Smith does already like 8 or 9 a week.

I might have to check out his pod casts. I'm assuming they're good or else he wouldn't have gotten a tv show

Yeah there pretty good, especially Jay and Silent Bob Get Old. The first few are pretty hilarious, and he costars in it with Jason Mewes. They talk a lot about their past, and the early days of filming Clerks and that franchise.

Just check em out on Smodcast,it's an entire network of Kevin Smith and his various friends doing Podcasts.
