If it is obvious that you have not read the issue or your post is completely off topic, I will ask a mod to delete your post. I want this review session to be fun but I also want it to stay focused on the comic we are reviewing.

If you are interested but don't normally read comic books, don't worry, we have purposely chose an issue that is supposed to be new reader friendly. If you have questions on where to acquire this issue, feel free to pm me.

The first thing I noticed is Cover A has the same circle patterns as Secret Avengers #22. There's too many lens flares and I don't like the caption effects for yelling (oversized yellow text stretching beyond the caption borders) and alerts (thick red borders). Does anyone else find the art of the final panel ridiculous?

The story isn't bad, but I have no idea what Max Damage went off to do, whether Mr. Lucifer is really one-dimensional, and how emotional Armadale's suicide is supposed to be.

    Jailbait doesn't really look underage.

I am reviewing Incorruptible #27 under the premise that this comic is for new readers (as stated by the solicitation). First off, I was under the impression that Incorruptible was about Max Damage. Yet Max makes an appearance in 4 pages total. We barely get to meet the guy before he teleports away. Another thing I find off-putting about this comic is there are too many different characters for a "new reader friendly" issue. I don't know who is important to the overall series and who's just important to this issue.

I thought the art was decent to mediocre. There wasn't anything that made me cringe but at the same time there wasn't anything that made me want to seek out Marcio Takara's other work.

For long time readers this issue might be great (who knows) but as a new reader I thought this issue was pretty awful as a jump on point. There was pretty much nothing that made me want to keep reading, even though I am interested in the overall concept of the series.

    Spoiler

    I give Incorruptible #27 a 4/10

(PS I agree with Mutton about Jailbait. She looks like she's 25)
