Early Time:
Hop in the car, as I have enough gas in there, go to wal-mart where there will be many zombies. Drive through the doors to the sporting goods, grab guns and ammo. Barricade front door, kill the zombies in the store, get food, run to the pharmacy for Anti-biotics and Pain killers. I'd post up in the pharmacy with the food, as they have the roll down window and the doors are near impossible to break.
Late in the Outbreak:
Keep my .22 rifle, and box of bullets next to me and hope I can brave the storm, without running out of food.

Metal Baseball bats
I actually had a zombie plan in one house I lived in, It would have been a fortress there
