    Default Body issues

I have issues with my body, weight, feet, ect. Ever since Highschool I've been losing lots of weight and then gaining weight. In middle school I was 5'4 weighting in at 150 pounds, thinking I as fat I went on a diet and did lots of running as exercise in my freshman year. My Sophomore year I gained some height coming in as 5'6 be losses slot of weight at 114 pounds. Over my 10th grade year I started playing sports, lots of sports and gained some weight. Right now Im 119 pounds but I still have this feeling that I don't have a perfect body.

I really don't like my face or my feet either. My nose can be wide when I laugh really hard, my black friends tell me I have a nigga's nose, and my feet ugh I think they're ugly. I have flat feet and afew people have told me they look like alien feet, and my second to last toe on my left foot curves other the next toe abit. Some days I feel okay about it, somedays it shit. But I mean there's nothing wrong with these feelings is there?

It's called insecurity and low self esteem. Combine that with the fact that growing through your teen years makes some people experience emotional roller coasters, and you may understand why this is happening to you.

Although it's rare to find somebody who isn't aware that this is going on during this stage of life, my best advice is to try not to let it get to you. It's extremely minor and almost everybody experiences these feelings.

For your feet, everyones feet look fucked up. Don't let that bother you.

faesce, as usual, is spot on

when you catch yourself depressed about it or thinking about it, MAKE YOURSELF think of something else. DO NOT let it get to you. basic rule of thumb: people care no more, and usually less, than you do.

also no there's nothing "wrong" with those feelings inasmuch as everyone feels them, but they will seriously weigh you down if you let them.

Again I'm just going to say to listen to faesce that is good advice. Just remember that these flaws you think your body has are insignificant and there is no one who will care that you have flat feet, your toes curve or your nose can get big when you laugh. If someone says something like you have a "nigga nose" or alien feet just laugh and agree.

I think it is really important to be able to laugh at yourself, accept and embrace the way you are. Shit there are plenty of things about me that used to get to me, I have a huge head and a giant jew-like nose. I used to be more self conscious about those kind of things and when people would point it out I didn't like it. Now accept it and laugh it off or make a joke about it and it doesn't bother me at all anymore. I realized that these kind of superficial differences in people really just don't matter at all. Anyone who does care about something that stupid and trivial isn't worth being around.

some great advice from everyone in this thread for you. You are going, and will probably continue to grow and change for a few years to come. Learn to love the body you're in for what it is and don't let it get in the way of living your life. :-)

thankfully, a little plastic surgery can correct most body issues. ask your parents for permission.

No, plastic surgery is not the answer. (Assuming ^ wasn't joking~)

I know it sounds cliche, bu the sooner you realize that in order for people to be comfortable with you, you need to be comfortable with yourself. Plastic surgery is something that should be only used for severe measures, such as burn victims and whatnot, even though the recent trends say otherwise.
