I'm a sophomore in college.
I've taken notice to her, she's really cute. I planned on talking to her the minute I saw her, but as soon as I approached she walked towards a a guy nearby. (Safe to assume he was her boyfriend.)
So today, I dressed up, put on some cologne, put on a nice shirt, and saw her sitting down with her friend. No boyfriend in sight. I walked up to her, and simply told her I thought she was pretty. We talked a tiny bit, i made her laugh, and the friend next to her kept "awing", so I guess that was a good sign. I asked for her number, and she said she already had a boyfriend (Which I most certainly knew.), I told her I wanted to start off as just friends.
I walked away with her number, and a great big smile from both of them.
Here's the problem.
I know she had a boyfriend, she told me she had one.
Well, he called me just 10 minutes ago, yelling and complaining to me, that if I "Don't back the fuck off, he'll fuck me up". Etc, I'll spare you his ranting.
I texted him back, commenting on his small stature in comparison to mine, and how he should honestly let his girlfriend live her life how she sees fit, I mean SHE GAVE ME THE NUMBER, SHE COULDVE SAID NO.
Well eventually, the guy started apologizing, telling me that he's sorry if he pissed me off, and was just being defensive.
Was this a bad move? Me talking trash back to the guy, and making him scared (I'm assuming.)?
I haven't really been in this situation before, I never stole a girl from her boyfriend.. I just felt ballsy to do it.
Any input on the situation would be GREATLY appreciated. My Friends tell me standing up the guy's smack talk was a bad idea.. but I didn't really have much of a choice.. He just started yelling as soon as he called.
Thanks guys! I know i can depend on you!
