Went pick up my new gun.
I finally got my S&W M&P Shield today. First impressions are that I like it. The first thing I noticed was how much slimmer it was than my G19. I usually carry a G19 with a TLR-3 inside the waistband, and I had gotten used to it, but this thing will be my new summer carry. Im going to make a holster for it after class today so I can get it ready to carry.
Then I tested the trigger. SO SO SO SO SO MUCH better than the standard M&P trigger. I wish my M&P9 had the same trigger. Its got about half an inch of travel, then it gets solid, and has a very nice clean break. And the reset is very easy to feel and hear.

Hopefully I get to go shoot it today. :-)

Went and threw a holster together for it. I also made some normal OWB belt loops, as well as some IWB overhooks. Not sure how Im gonna carry it yet. But its small enough to carry OWB, but it conceals SO good IWB.

I went with a full sweat guard on this one. I decided to cover up the controls too, mainly since I dont plan on using the safety, and I dont want it ever getting knocked into safe. Its pretty stiff though, so thats HIGHLY unlikely.

That's a pretty nice carry piece. Of course, I don't think it's entirely fair to compare its dimensions to those of a GLOCK 19, because the GLOCK 19 is a doublestack pistol (and as such carries far, far more ammunition than the M&P Shield).

Yea, but I an carry just as many rounds with me. 8+1 in the gun, and a spare 7 round mag.
And I was showing the size difference more just to show what Im going to got my CC gun now.
