I did not play Witcher I or Witcher II, would I be at a disadvantage? I think it looks great, and I could be persuaded to own it by this time tomorrow. I've been wanting to test my new system anyway.
Ive never played 1 or 2 either. There are a few things I think I missed out on, mainly relationships between characters, but there is all of that info in the game if you care to read it. You kinda just figure it out after playing for a little while though.
If you liked Skyrim, you'll like this.
Also, it is a DRM free game, which means you can DL it and test it out and if you like it, buy it. Thats what I did. I wish all games were like that. I hate spending $60 on a game and then realizing I dont like it.
Oh wow, I didn't realize that it was DRM free. I definitely need to check it out then!
Also, I like your style. I pirate things from time to time, but if it is something I really appreciate or spend a lot of time with I always buy it also.
Man, you were not kidding. The game is freaking gorgeous, and pretty fun to boot in spite of feeling like I'm not quite sure about everything.
Bethesda, you get my dollars again
I told you man. lol
And yea, there is alot of stuff to know as far as characters and places. Just pay attention to the dialogues. There is PLENTY of that.
It's actually developed by CD Projekt Red, a Polish company, and not Bethesda. CDPR also owns Good Old Games GOG.com.
I have high expectations for Fallout 4 considering what CDPR has done with Witcher 3 considering Skyrim was double the budget ($80 Mil).
Man this game is HUGE. I got to a part I was sure was the last part of the storyline quests, and nope, still going after over 48 hours of gameplay.
Finally beat it after 58.5 hours. Now its time to go do all my witcher contracts and secondary quests.
Good game is good. I can't wait for the second expansion! Although I feel I might need to level up a little bit more to be able to start on that. I'm currently playing Professor Geralt of RiviaSpoiler
Yer I play the shit out of it. Bought the expansions recently and am playing through my 2nd playthrough on death march.
I bought it during the steam sale. I don't have a lot of time to play games anymore, but I'm slowly picking my way through it.
So I am STILL playing my 2nd playthrough on deathmarch. I am like lvl 55 or so and haven't touched the expansions but am looking forward to them.
It's such a damn good game, and yes it does look glorious on max settings.
It's amazing indeed. I managed to complete every quest with every outcome possible and still love to play it, especially with mods.
I'm in love with this game - it's my all-times favourite and I often use it as stress relief. The music and the atmosphere is so nice, welcoming, that I come back to it time after time.
I tried different outcomes for some quests, but for others I can't - I always kill off Radovid, choose Triss and help Cerys become the first Queen of Skellige. I also avoid the 'bad ending' for Ciri at all costs and save Keira. I watched all other outcomes on Youtube but I can't make myself play them through. It's the same with Detroit: Besome Human - I know what multiple outcomes can be if I choose differently...but I can't see Hank shooting himself or allow Markus to lead a violent revolution.
mr troy be nice, its a real girl, no cussin'
gaming_amy please accept our apologies for mrtroy, I saw your report and please know that its not his fault, his momma just didn't raise him right
thank you
I really appreciate it
Amy, I apologize, but 99% of new accounts here are bots that post nonsense that is seemingly on topic. I would bet money on you being an alternate ego of someone already here, but If you an actual new person to these forums, please do post around, we could use your help to spark up some active discussion on this forum!
Rick, my momma raised me right like any other Indiana mother, while smoking and feeding me Pepsi.
I wound up buying the game on the PS4, and I played through it on there, finally.
I think I still have some of the DLC to work through.
shut up daittengu go eat some cheeseburgers or something
hey @DaiTengu can you really blame me for assuming this was a bot?
In other news, every time I look at a game like this I just get overwhelmed with the idea of spending that much time on a game. I just don't have time to invest in games any more and it would suck to start something for 5 or 10 hours and not finish it.
No. I ban 3-4 bots every week here.
These kinds of games are my jam. Ones with long, gripping storylines that really just take you along for the ride. Witcher III, Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Last of Us (and the sequel), The recent Assassin's Creed games, and God of War come to mind.
Can you tell I Have a PS4? :D
I didn't used to be a console player, but spending 10+ hours in my office in front of my computer every day for work is enough, I need a change of venue to get my game on.
I really enjoy playing this game a few years ago. I have added it to my favorite games of all time.
I FINALLY (after 4 years...) killed Eredin at the weekend on my Death March New Game+ playthrough......
(he also is a cunt of a fight)
now i can playthrough the dlcs for the first time yay.
also this game stands the test of time very very well. still looks gorgeous with no mods.
