I thought ze germans were supposed to be the master race.
Also, I'll likely buy a P229 at some point. I just didn't want to drop over a grand on my first gun :p

worth it, sig sauer vs other popular gun manufacturers is like comparing a custom rig to alienware

My conceal-carry license showed up over the weekend.

I live in a great state where any adult non-felon idiot can conceal carry without any permit or registration
AMERICA
P229 is a great carry piece.

Ive got a P228 and i love it. I prefer striker fired guns for CC though.

I've been carrying my VP9 for a couple weeks now. I don't go out much because working from home rules.
Unfortunately even with an IWB the handle still prints on me at 4'oclock like a motherfucker. I'm too fat to appendix carry. I bought a couple flannel shirts today and those seem to help. People who carry will probably be like "hey, he's printing". People who don't will be like "his wallet is tall"
I'm debating over getting something different to carry, but I really like my VP9.

Have you shot anyone yet.

shot quite a few pieces of paper. Nothing more substantial than that.
I literally just finished cleaning the thing, Took me a dozen patches to get the barrel clean. I either cleaned it wrong last time, or this time. my money is on last time.
I've put about 250 rounds through it since I bought it a little over a month ago.

Cleaning just takes a lot of patches. I always pull out a ton thinking it will be plenty but end up using several more than that. A dozen sounds about right.
in related news, queendork is going to a woman's handgun class later this week. I've taken her out to the range once before and she did fine. She used to be very anti-gun so I'm happy to support her desire to want to learn more

I dont really worry about printing. People are a lot more oblivious than you're giving them credit for. As long as youre not carrying a huge gun under your shirt, youre good.
As far as cleaning, I'm not anal about my guns. I run a boresnake through it a few times, wipe it down good, then oil it up and put it together. You'd be surprised how dirty modern striker fired guns can get and still work.
