What I love about that scene is that it is the most pathetic art gallery ever. One huge room. About 20 paintings/3 statues. And a restaraunt directly overlooking some of the paintings. Why, that's not an insurance issue at all. If someone spilled a little wine down the wall, a priceless painting would be ruined.
PLUS, the dialogue that Bruce Wayne has before that scene is just gold.
[Alfred listens to a recording by Vicky]
Vicky: Hey, Bruce, I'm going to be running a little late to the museum.
[CUT TO: Bruce doing some detective stuff in his office when Alfred rings him.]
Bruce: Yeah?
Alfred: It appears Miss Vale is going to be running late to the museum tonight.
Bruce: Thanks, Alfred.
[It takes him a good 5 or so seconds to realize this next bit]
Bruce: Wait, I'm not meeting her at the museum!

Also, I like how Gotham only has one museum. Otherwise, how would Bruce know where to go to save Vicky?
That is, until the museum opens in Batman and Robin.
