Building a new computer.
Hey guys, I'm planning to build a new computer. Just asking for some advice on what to buy.
I have around £400 to spend, It needs to have good gaming and multimedia (rendering HD videos, photoshop, music creation)
Your input would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Just the tower? You could probably build a hefty AMD Phenom II box with that.

This is for the tower only. Could you give me some more information on the hardware I should go for? I sway more to AMD & ATI.

Prices are in American dollars ($) as of today...

I would recommend another RAM upgrade eventually, jumping it from 2GB up to 4GB. Also, the case is totally up to you. I picked the Rosewill because it that was neat, had decent reviews, and I like the top fan set up.
You could also run a RAID 1 setup for the hard drives and buy two and mirror them as a fail over but thats optional.
I would also look into an APS or Tripp Lite UPS as an accessory to help save your investment from a power surge.
