Anyone have any experience with switching their Wii to 480p from 480i via component cables? I recently got an HD monitor, fully HD compatible (1080p), so I was wondering if it was actually worth getting component cables to play my Wii on.

My cousin had his on his Sony Bravia LCD. The colors were better looking and the image was a bit clearier. It's not going to be the big difference you see if you hooked up a PS3 or 360 from SD to HD that's for sure. If you're willing to drop the $15 or whatever they go for you might as well. It won't make the image any worse but it isn't going to blow your mind either.
I bought component cables when I bought my Wii and I'd say it's definitely worth it. About the only games I can compare are Super Mario Sunshine and some older Madden I had for Gamecube (some Gamecube games had progressive screen modes but I never had the cable for it) and there was a definite improvement in both between standard and progressive.
Thanks for the info guys ill look into it for sure
480p is not HD.
