skipping
I was skipping yesterday with a weighted rope. After a while I started to get tired and start to miss. I got some red marks from being whipped on the arms when I started messing up. Why is jump rope so painful? Is there a way to get better without quitting? I don't want to quit. I stopped because I started getting red marks and it started to sting and I didn't want to get more bruises. It seemed to be good exercise but I don't want to get injured/ red marks on my arms.

Treat it like reps in a gym, don't just jump tons of rope... do it in like a set of 20 or 30 or 50 and then take a break to catch your breath. That way you keep focused and don't get so tired you hurt yourself.

Thanks, you have a lot of good answers to my questions. That makes some sense; when I get tired I start making mistakes. I was trying to improve my endurance which is hard to do if I do end up injured badly.

try skipping meals instead

Meat is filling though and high in protein. I eat mostly peanut butter sandwiches for protein though as eating plain peanut butter I think it is kind of high in calories. I used to eat it a lot plain though. I don't want to gain weight.

Peanut butter has a high fat and, depending upon what brand you buy, a high sugar content. If you want protein, eat fish.
