Anybody watch this show? I know it's only the second season, but it's a pretty awesome show.
The end of the second season was simply ridiculous. It started out relatively reasonable and now it's just gotten out of hand.
It's the natural progression of things... Nip/Tuck went the same way.
I haven't seen Season 2 yet. I loved the first one, thought it was really good. I know S1/2 were pretty loyal to the books, I hope the 3rd (if there is on) isn't as it gets all supernatural.
Read the books. (loved them)
Never seen the show.
I keep hearing from family members that this show is awesome. I'm gonna have to find a way to watch them. Sounds like an interesting show.
First episode from series three looks promising.
Loved the other two series
One of my favorite shows, he was so close to getting busted in the last episode, it was jaw dropping.
I don't get showtime, but I saw it on CBS during the Writer's Strike and I really liked it.
Perhaps I'll obtain the first season because I think it's more gory than CBS allowed.
BUMPEEDDD! Did anyone see the season finale. I dont want to ruin it for anyone if they havent seen it? Thoughts on it?
Was fucking incredible. Some of the best TV I've seen, the second half of this season.
Yes I know, I cannot believe what happened. I'm still trying to convince myself that it was a dream , but it probably not. I found this interview with the executive producer of Dexter. (Spoilers) http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/12/...le-postmortem/
Shut up you.
Oh great, now there's Rita and Harry in Dexter's head.
Wonderful.
i disagree with this thread
the end of season 2 was amazing except for the denouement and season three started out so promising but just turned into shit
The more I think about it, if they make that ending a dream sequence I am going to be livid.
Because then in order to justify it, there will have to be a Dexter nightmare mechanic all season that he'll finally overcome by confronting some anonymous past demon. And just to keep around Rita? She got annoying anyways. Send her to Dexter's subconscious or kill her off altogether.
dexter's subconcious is busy enough with harry, and i'm mildly annoyed at how angsty he gets over it. While I don't want the last sequence to be a dream sequence, i'm pretty annoyed that it worked out that way. Dexter isn't supposed to have everything work out for him smoothly at the end, although he makes the best of a shitty situation. I mean in season 1 he had to, and even though the show basically got set back like a sitcom to the routine for the beginning of season three, it was still a messy climax that was pulled off well.Spoiler
season three ending was dexter overpowered, incapable of being restrained or prevented from doing whatever he wants to do, with no morally dubious acts to blur the line between (super)hero or serial killer, which is what interested me in the show in the first place. and then hewhich, while we should have seen it coming, was just too much saccharine television for my taste and completely killed off my desire to watch season 4.Spoiler
The family dynamic and the question of whether dexter was doing more harm than good for his family was a good theme of season 4, to be honest, though I did get annoyed at times when it felt like Dexter was making things harder on himself by not simply tending to his family obligations first.
in the finale was a perfect example that really broke believability. I get that he was coming unwound, but anyone would have noticed the maniac swerving in and out of traffic behind him.this scene
Yeah, I haven't seen season 4 yet, and because of season three. dexter jumped from my 'i want to watch' list to me 'meh, i'll get around to it' list.
Please tell me that's a joke. Season 4 is the worst season by a mile.
You're wrong, sir.
Show runners came out and said it's real, no dream, etc etc.
yeah season 4 was actually fantastic
god I miss doakes
MORGAN YOU FUCKIN CREEP
good times
So whens the next series out.
well for awhile season seemed like it was going to follow one of the books (can remember which one) but instead they wne t with the shitty ending instead.
Shitty ending? Lol. That ending was phenomenal. I was on the edge of my seat the entire season 4. I'm excited to see how the writers will pull off next season.
John Lithgow was fucking awesome
fucking.
awesome.
The ending managed to unnerve me a bit. It usually takes a lot to do that.
Agreed.
John Lithgow was amaznig in series 4, and I did not at all see that ending coming.
When it happened it truly was one of those "Wait, what" moments. I thought it might have been a dream, or something...but no.
It was real.
