Who else is excited about this game?
I don't think i'll ever play a zombie mod on CS after this comes out.
I've been drooling over it for so long. I can't wait! If you preorder on steam you save 5 bucks and get the demo even earlier
which makes me made because I am one dollar short from pre-ordering
I'm tempted to pre-order this. I've been drueling over this since I heard about it but I've waited so long I kinda lost the excitement for it though.
Just preodered via Steam. I'll have the demo on Thursday!
I feel that I might leave my DoD:S clan for this game, it looks so amazing. And yeah, the CS:S Zombiemod servers just don't cut it, I've been waiting for a decent zombie game.
I'm dieing from anticipation. The preloading on the demo is at 21% right now. AHH. I hope this is good. Better be worth the pre order...
Installing the demo now, can't wait!
Thats odd, I already beat the demo which was quite fun, can't wait to play with other people!
Hmm.. i also have been waiting for this game to come out! I'm rather excited to get my hands on it- i hope i'm not dissapointed.
Alright well I think I tracked down the problem. Because my school's internet policy is uber gay and I went over our download limit (4gb), I'm restricted to a 56k connection till Sunday. Steam won't launch the game for whatever reason even in offline mode. So I'm downloading it on to my laptop and hoping it will run it well enough.
Try contacting valve and see if they have any ideas. If anyone wants to play add me on steam or xfire something

It has 2 levels, the first one is kinda short but the second one is decent.
There are so many zombies it's insane. Like 20+ running at you at one time, it gets really insane.
There is 2 pistols, a shotgun + auto shottie, uzi, and a colt. There are different bosses which are really hard to kill but make it a lot of fun. There is a witch which you don't want to shoot and a tank like from the video (big thing that owns you).
I'm really glad I pre-ordered it, I played it once single player and beat it on normal then beat it on expert with 2 of my friends. There was some lag but I'm pretty sure it was from the host. If you love zombie games/things like me, you'll enjoy this game.
The game is awesome. I've just been joining random games. Got as far as the door in the 2nd level on expert a few times but couldn't quite take that down. It's tough.
I've been playing online on expert. That shit is hard. They weren't kidding about sticking together and relying on each other.
demo is free on steam
game kicks so much ass
of definitely
Got the game preloaded. :) 12:01 Tuesday I shall be slaying zombies like no other.
Well it's officially out, who's played it? I played through the first campaign, and I gotta say, I'm impressed. Took me an hour and the levels are pretty linear for the most part though. I like how they make each campaign like a little movie. Thoughts?
I've been playing the 360 demo for ages now. It's awesome. Much more fun with people you know than random players, that's where I got a bit bored. We've only finished the demo on expert once so far, out of probably 30 attempts.
I still have to wait another 2 days for it to be released here. I wanted it on the PC but it won't run on mine. :(
It got boring after the third or fourth day. Only 4 levels? fuck that. The VS has got to be pretty god damn amazing to make it anywhere near GOTY (it won't)
Only 4 levels? I heard there were 4 campaigns. Or is that what you mean? They're supposed to last 2-3 hours each so it doesn't sound too bad.
Me and three other friends were playing the No Mercy campaign on expert, we couldn't make it past the second chapter, took us about an hour and a half to just get there. We couldn't stop laughing though, it's good fun.
Get Fallout 3
Much better
The game doesn't feel like its getting old, but I could see that it would over time. Playing as a zombie in versus mode is super fun, but only having that mode with two campaigns is disappointing.
Either way, it's still enthralling each time. The game has a system built into it where the spawning of enemies and other pickups is random each time you play, which really keeps up the fear factor that is so essential to the game. Never knowing what is around the corner.
Plus, the harder difficulties are...hard! It seems like if you play on advanced, you need to play with a team of CAL-I fuckers, or everyone needs to be coordinating with a mic, in order to complete some of the missions.
With mics on advanced we get through the demo quite easily. Expert, though is a lot harder. Our problem is after a horde attacks we let our guard down and kind of split up by accident.
I'm getting it delivered tomorrow morning, we must have played the demo through 80 odd times. Can't bloody wait.
I just picked this up tonight.... played it for a bit but I need to go to bed. This game is awesome!!!! Played the first part a few times online, and I love the AI director. The 3 times I played the first part (2 online, 1 offline), the experience was different each time. It is like a whole new ballgame. It would be like if in CoD enemies spawned randomly instead of being scripted.
For example. the first time I came to the escalators, we were more than swarmed by the mass amount of zombies rushing up the escalator and from the side... a horde came and not only that, but a Boomer blew up and got on all 4 of us, ensuring MORE chaos.
The 2nd time there were maybe 5 or 7 on or around the escalator. The third time there was not a single one but there were some down on the subway. I know it reacts to how well you are doing as well, but the constant variation could make this playable over and over. It is much funner to play with 3 other humans, don't get me wrong, single player offline is fun, and the team AI is pretty damn good, but you get the feeling that YOU are the one walking into the initial danger every single time since they don't move forward until you do. Where online, everyone seems to have their fair share of going into a room or building first.
P.S. Don't fuck with the witches, if you don't know what I am talking about you will soon enough!
I make witches my bitch as long as I got a molotov. Light her on fire and then start stepping backwards as you shoot her. Your teammates will usually shoot her from the sides and you get her from the front. This usually works for me really well as long as I got enough room to run around.
If anyone has it on 360 and wants to play hit me up on live at Infernuser
I'm picking this up today. The demo was pretty fun on expert. It took me and a couple buddies (1 being terrible) maybe a dozen tries to beat the 2nd level. We didn't run into the Tank that time though so we got pretty lucky.
Witches are fucking hard though. One time we made it all the way to the safe room but the witch was spawned right in front of the door. We came up with a plan to kill her, but right when we shot her a hunter jumped someone from behind and we got raped.
On expert she kills in 1 hit. Unless she spawns RIGHT in the only path available, the best thing to do is turn off your flashlights, don't look at her and try to sneak around. The path you need to take is almost always the most well lit path.
Me and my friend rented it to see if it was worth buying and we had so much fun beating the game on normal and playing a few online on normal that i'm gonna buy it asap. Definitely the best zombie survival horror to come out since resident evil.
I have been playing for quite awhile now and I would definitely recommend this game to all. Great 4 play story mode that I have been playing with my friends.
The cinematic intro to the game is not only intense, but very well done. I would like to see a whole movie like that. Or at least a long intro for each of the scenarios in that same vein.
I was watching a buddy play online last night.
Fucking crazy when a tank comes out.
i played this game for about 5 minutes.
i think it sucks.
it was boring, repetative and all around just kinda dumb. not worth the price tag they have on this game.
this is all just my own opinion.
you came up with this stunning conclusion in 5 minutes?
Try it online, with friends using mics. On advanced too and for longer than 5 mins.
Hahah, you can't come to a resonable conclusion about anything after 5 minutes.
Its just silly to try something for 5 mins and try to review it.
Its pretty much the definition of judging a book by its cover.
I read a book for 5 minutes. It was repetitive. It was all, "words words words," and I was all, "fuck words." I mean, I did buy the book knowing full well going in to it that it would be full of 'words', and that I do not like 'words', but I did it anyway. Guess I'm some kind of moron.
And actually, you can come to the conclusion that sex is bad after 5 minutes, if after 5 minutes there is no more sex.
sorry to get all of your panties in a bunch by stating a game you love isnt the top notch game it was said to be.
fuck that game.. lol
lol you missed the point. You could say this about any game and you'd get the same response.
Its the fact you played for 5 minutes and thats not really enough to judge a game whether its good or not.
listen, i could go home tonight after work and spend 6 minutes playing this game or 6 hours and still feel the same.
i just don't like it.
it's that simple.
enjoy playing though, don't let my opinion get in the way of your happiness with the game.
You seem to lack the tact to make a proper argument or the basic fundemental understanding of 'enjoyment' in order to form an opinion. You absolutely cannot know whether or not you like a game after 5 minutes. The first 5 minutes would maaayyybbbee get you out of the starting apartment. And you know what? Nothing happens in the apartment. There are a few zombies shambling around.
Jesus, I dipped the tip and didn't cum immediately, sex must suck.

But back on topic, L4D is currently the only game that is competing with WoW for my attention with some TF2 sprinkled in for good measure.
Also, playing as the infected in versus is the most fun I've had in a video game since I can remember. Nothing like dropping down onto the heads of a group of survivors and vomiting on all of them while they get pounced on by hunters or sucked away by smokers.
Just got my 360 back yesterday.. I got the RRoD.. it happened the day I got this game. Anyone wanna play?
gamertag:quasimoto89 -- the random teams i've been getting have sucked
The more I play this game, the more I realize there are some serious tools out there in the world. I ate the guys that come in on their headsets and act all Timmy tough nuts and hand out orders because they think they are a badass. Then you (the crappy teammate by their terms) are the one that takes the least amount of damage, kills more guys, and saves the most teammates.
But then again you come across some cool people. some people just suck hard.
My GT is yessahmassah
Add me if you use a headset and dont suck.
What if I am a mute and suck terribly and shoot team mates constantly for no reason?
Then I hate you.
what if i use a headset but only for sodomy and i dont suck penises but i am very poor at this video game?
