Desperados or Tequila and Tonic plz.
usually beer or microbrews, occasionally captain and coke
sometimes a nice reflective glass of scotch
spiced or dark captain?
Bourbon and diet
But I will pretty much drink anything.
usually the regular spiced
i had the dark "reserved" one or whatever (the one that is like 100 proof) once and forgot it was not regular captain so i mixed a drink almost 50/50 with it as I usually would, that drink lasted me pretty much the rest of the evening, sippin' on it all night
you tried sailor jerry?
98 proof, nicest drink ive ever had, really nice spiced rum
Haha yes, in college when I couldn't afford captain morgan.
Captain Morgan > Sailor Jerry > Admiral Nelson
Not surprisingly, their quality of taste also relates to their price.
edit: I had some good spiced rum in Antigua, called Cavalier. It was cheap as dirt down there but on par with Sailor Jerry.
i rate sailor jerry higher than captain morgan :)
what do you do with a drunken sailor (jack)
fill him with rum and lie him in his bunk
then give him a cuddle and tuck him in
i havent really had much old new orleans,i want to buy a bottle but its really hard to get here
i tried the cajun spice when i was over in the US and loved it but havent had it since (i like rum..a lot)
If I want to get drunk, I usually drink vodka and fruit juice. When I just want a beer, I go for Shiner Bock Black Lager.

Beer or rye and coke/ginger or straight rye.
I cannot stand the taste of beer. It's all about the coke and rum.
I only take jello shots.
I mean it depends on the financial situation at the time and how fucked up I want to get. Could be anything from hurricanes to corona, white tavern to grey goose. We drink what we can afford. If I'm drinking liquor I prefer rum, especially captain (calico is a great cheaper alternative).
Steel Reserve.
Liquor is Captain Morgan and Coke if I cannot find Sailor Jerry's.
Today, however, will be Guinness, Killian's and Whiskey.
southern comfort and coke
or just straight up southern comfort, its like candy
Beer for regular nights.
Makers Mark and coke or Gentlemans Jack and lemon water for special occasions.
Jack and Coke.
Otherwise, a good single malt scotch.
Southern Comfort tastes like summer to me. It was really beautiful and sunny today and while I was in class I just wanted to be in the park with a bottle of soco and plenty of lemonade (lemon soda to yanks?).
We call it lemonade too.
I thought lemonade was something different over there. And wikipedia agrees.
Whereas over here lemonade is:Quote:
In the U.S. and Canada lemonade refers to a mixture of lemon juice, sugar, and uncarbonated water.
So ours is fizzy, yours is (apparently) not. Soco and a non-fizzy mixer would taste disgusting.Quote:
Likewise, in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand the term mainly refers to a colourless, carbonated, sweet soft drink containing either natural or artificial lemon flavor, such as Schweppes Lemonade.
Oh nevermind I didn't know that.
Well you should have more faith in my abilities at pointing things out for dumbasses.
Sailor Jerry's kicks the shit out of Captain Morgan, unless you don't like the cherry flavor, I guess. Capt. Morgan is a pretty bad brand of rum in general, in fact. It's like the Smirnoff of rums.
Budget/Healthy drink: Vanilla smirnoff and pepsi max
a shit ton of caff in it too
Yuengling.
Or vodka cranberry.
No defense for that, it is an inexcusable act of faggotry. If you want to avoid a hangover drink some water before passing out. Then at least you(most likely) will not get a headache of any kind and we all know that's the worst part(unless you are the kind who pukes in the morning).
I have three or four Sam Adams at an airport and then a jack and coke on the ride to whereever. Usually like to do this in uniform for free drinks. Otherwise, drink jack and coke or 7&7 in mass amounts with a jaegerbomb. Been a long freakin' time to actaully sit down and relax to try something new like a scotch or gin I haven't had.
If I ever work in a bar (I have done and probably will do again soon) I would never give someone in any uniform a freebie. I've met too many people who only do it for the free drinks.
No. No. No.
I've met people who go out in uniform for the sole purpose of the free drinks (and also just to feel like they're better than everyone else although they don't admit that part).
Ohhhh. Yeah, that doesn't surprise me so much. Sorry 'bout the mixup.
Right now I'm drinking rum and A&W rootbeer.
i know what simonj is saying, i saw a guy take his son around disneyland in almost full comabt gear. he got an applause on every tour thingy.
im pretty sure bush didnt invade disneyland......but y'know i could be wrong
I just had a root beer-tini. Root beer blast + vodka. Not to shabby.
Beer. But I hate that it gives me a gut when I drink it every night for a straight week.
I think wearing your uniform for anything other than military related shit is just gay. Like when my brother decided to try to make an entrance one christmas in in his army uniform. I'm like "Jeeeesus dood, you're an MP, nothing more than a glorified pig."
I drink what's available. I generally prefer light or dark rum and pale ales but will try anything once and drink plenty of the special.
As for the uniform thing, I've never put on a uniform for the express purpose of going out to drink. Anyone who does is a jackass. I have stopped by bars or the VFW while in uniform. Then again, I've probably gotten more free drinks from people talking to me while out of uniform. One or two is nice from time to time but I prefer to pay for my own. When you are driving and stop off for a beer, it becomes a pain in the ass when the bartender keeps setting bottles in front of you. Now, the case of beer at a grocery store was both unexpected and more than welcome...
On that thought, my brother-in-law did go out drinking with my brother once while he was in the Reserves. Not in uniform but according to my brother he couldn't keep his military ID in his wallet. Then he went active, deployed to Iraq and last I heard had come home on leave and not gone back. Probably too busy bragging about being in the Army at some bar. At least they stopped his pay last I heard.
Sailor Jerry's has a pretty noticeable cherry undertone. It's not strong, but it's definitely there.
Not sure what you mean by "almost full combat gear", but bear in mind that the Army's current combat uniform, the ACU (that greyish-tan camouflaged one with the pixel pattern) is also used as walking-about or "undress" uniform in non-combat situations. For instance, it's what most soldiers wear even if they are just going to be sitting behind a desk all day. The Army's current policy is that the ACU is used in both combat and informal non-combat situations. So if this is what he was wearing, he wasn't actually going around trying to look like a hardass by being in "combat gear", he was just wearing the uniform that soldiers normally wear when not at a formal occasion.Quote:

A bar that I've gone to a few times invented a new shot and it was so bad, it was Jagger with something else, but you dipped a cherry in pepper first and yeah.. not good.
no this was before the ACU. it was the DCU, the coffee stains one.
i mean, even that would be fine but the guy had a tactical jakcet on over the regular jacket as well as his riggers belt with a load of kit in it, which he definately wouldnt need in Disneyland.
