So recently a few months ago I taught myself how to solve a Rubik's and surprisingly it's fucking easy. Although I guess it shouldn't be too shocking since there are hundreds of videos on youtube of young children solving the Rubik's cube. Anyway, on occasion I've solved the cube in front of people and I always get these stares of amazement, like I'm a fuckin genius.
So that got me thinking, what are some other easy things to learn that seem to impress people?
finishing a job from soft to cleanup in 60 seconds
bonus: at that point you can claim to be making $3000 per hour
Twisting off a bottle cap with your arm and/or opening a bottle cap with your hands
that's not that impressive if it's a twist-off
stand up comedy
I dunno. My stand up didn't seem to impress anyone.
Learn enough about chess to realize how horrible you are at it. Then play your friends and relatives. They will be blown away.
chord-plonking my way through songs on the piano (i don't know how to play piano but i can hear chords and melodies)
