NBA 2011 Season Thread

It seems that there hasn't been a post in the last year in this forum, so I thought I'd make a general thread.

So...am I the only one who follows basketball here? If I'm not, what team do you root for, and what is something you are looking forward to this year?

I'm a Knicks fan. I'm looking forward to seeing if Amare and Carmelo can figure out how to play together. From a league wide perspective, my bold prediction of the year is that James Harden will be the most important team on Oklahoma City and that he will be second or third team All NBA by season's end (third is more likely).

So there you have it, hopefully there are more basketball fans here than just me.

I used to watch back in the Jordan and Bird days but it just got to be boring after a while. I haven't watched baseball in years either.

You should check out the playoffs. Last years entire postseason rivaled anything that happened in the Jordan era. It definitely hit a lull from 03 to 08, but the NBA is every bit as good as it ever was at this point.
