Went pick up the .44 Mag

I love this thing. Its a very large revolver, and its heavy as hell. Kicks like a mule too. I underestimated it. With just some 240 gr soft points, it hurt my hand after 6 rounds. I was shooting one handed though. lol

Ive got some 300 grain rounds coming in tomorrow, and Im going get some really hot loads from my friend later. Hopefully I can hurt my hand even more. lol

Its a monster. My buddy has a Ruger GP100 in .357 Mag with a 6 inch barrel. I told him he might not want to put them side by side, cause its gonna make his look like a toy. lmao

I love how big this gun is, and still stays somewhat small at the same time. I got my 300 gr rounds in today. Cant wait to go shoot them.

I wanted a hand cannon that had a good amount of recoil to it. Something that's fun to shoot. If I wanted something to shoot targets at a good distance, then I would have gotten one with like a 6 in barrel.

Best thing about a revolver... You can see those rounds in it when it's pointing at you. No question if it's loaded.

I wanna go shoot it again. So far Ive only shot 12 rounds through it. I need to go put about 100 rounds through it to make me stop going crazy. lol

I know this just a photo, but imagining I was actually faced against this just scared me. I'm not to knowledgeable in guns, but I think that recoil would hurt my wrist. I hope you don't mind me being a total newbie. I want to know do you build up a tolerance to that sort of thing or is there something you do to strengthen your wrists?

It does hurt. But its not really in your wrist. Its between your thumb and index finger.

And as far as controlling the recoil, you have to learn proper grip techniques and just have experience with shooting guns, especially ones that recoil this much.
