Has anyone else thought that this season and the previous one have been some of the best in the scope of the HIMYM series? If they continue to keep this balance between emotionally wrenching episodes and hilarity I don't care if they every meet the mother.
It's been really hit and miss in my opinion, but the hits have been as great as ever. Especially the episode where Robin found out she couldn't have kids was a home-run.

I completely agree with infernus... The Ross-From-Friends-Whiny-Gay character is ingratiating.
The show has jumped the shark a while ago, but at the very latest at the dream sequence episode where they actually made some progress and then proceeded to retcon it all at the end of the episode like it was an early 90s teenage drama.
Ted is annoying, but every so often he is invaluable to an episode.
Ross, however, was unforgivable.
I dislike the new format, I watch comedy shows to be entertained and make me laugh, not to make me feel depressed and be emo for 10 minutes after each episode. It was much better when it was just a plain comedy.
