Cairns resident Ant Hadleigh told ninemsn he was amazed to see a golden orb spider kill and then eat a brown tree snake in a friend's backyard earlier this week.

I've heard of spiders eating small birds, but I thought it was rare. I guess spiders are getting smarter... maybe so smart they'll start capturing little kids and eventually fully grown adults. :shifty:
