A review of 2013. Or what happened when I got off the internet

2013 was a blur for me. I guess smokin err day, all day will do that.

2014 resolutions/goals: Take a break from pot, go to a summer music festival, save up enough money so Juni can schedule FFS for late 2014/early 2015, get fit, physically and mentally

Some highlights of 2013 (in chronological order): Our summer trip (more on that later), taking Sparky home from PetSmart, getting married to my beautiful sweetheart Juni Io, dancing our asses off while tripping on mescaline

My favorite memory of 2013 is our summer trip. The following are some of the highlights of a very amazing vacation (again, in chronological order):
-watching the grasslands of kansas turn into the colorado mountains
-listening to that mixtape on repeat
-exploring denver together, stoned out of our minds
-visiting that gluten free bakery almost every day we were in denver
-going back to the hotel after visiting a sex shop *wink*
-escaping albuquerque and making a getaway to san francisco
-visiting the grand canyon in the black of night
-proposing to Juni in the middle of nowhere under a blanket of stars
-getting naked and taking a bunch of pictures in our cute hotel room in san francisco
-realizing not all sushi is gluten free and subsequently eating the best apple pie ever for dinner
-letting go and enjoying the beach
-watching the sun rise after pulling an all nighter driving back home

The trip feels like a dream now. I never thought I could feel so free. That trip with you is what life is supposed to be like, an adventure.

Hey, I'm just happy I got KT to post again.

I did a lot of shit in 2013.

Got exclusive with my current gf early in the year. In the summer, we went on a road trip to Vancouver, cut south to Seattle and came back though the US. It was 21 days on the road, but pretty magnificient. My cousin got married; I played at her wedding. My sister got married; I played at her wedding. My first semester was a blur of work, school and girlfriend. I spent New Year's on a beach in Brazil.

New resolution: Smoek bluts everyday.

Congrats on the marriage!

As for me:
Lost almost $10k in tools, guns, and other valuables in a burglary
Went to the land of Afghans and heard loud noises for almost ten months
Resumed school as a senior in my undergrad studies (contacted LSU about their graduate programs as well)
Went on emergency leave to see my dad, who has been hospitalized for the past two months (got the Red Cross message only four days after getting off the plane)

Needless to say, 2013 was a motherf***er for me, with the exception of school. For some odd reason I'm sitting here half-drunk now and decided to log in. Sorry to see that even Flames has died down. I guess we all move on, but I miss the days when we all posted regularly.

Anyway, I wish everyone the best and will continue randomly logging in!

For me, 2013 wasn't that exciting but I got my annual automated email in 2014 wishing me a happy birthday and remembered that this place still exists. I honestly haven't logged in here since the fall of LWS but it's pretty sweet to see you all still around. I get reminded occasionally cause I'm apparently friends with anonymousD on facebook still and see IOC in the SA car forums occasionally. Oh, and every once and again Filthy Slutbus pops up on my itunes. I'm mostly over on reddit these days (please make fun of me lots) but I'll try to remember to contribute here some. Which definitely won't happen cause I lurked on LWS, lurk on reddit and SA, and never add anything because I am awful at the internet. So seeya later and suck it, bitches.

I'm in the second-to-last year of my PhD program. This year I decided not to become a professor at the end of all this. Trust what Marge Simpson says about grad students.

I now know more about Twitter than just about everyone other than half a dozen people on the planet. And whatever folks at Twitter are hiding. It's an odd skill that won't likely retain usefulness for long.

I got a job in the TV industry and I'm loving it.

look scarf shitface is from the uk or some weird european country so they have like 4 channels so getting a job in the television industry is pretty impressive because there are like 20 people working in it and most of them are simon cowell

haha jesus. rick scarf you aren't far off the mark, we've just implemented nielson so i've been pissing around with that shit for months. i might have to fly out to the US to their HQ soon because their documentation is shocking and there are some communication issues because their english is shit.

nermy, we are a world wide company that supplies the hardware and software for a large amount of us channels including nbc, espn, mtv and i'm pretty sure the last superbowl was broadcasted using our shit too lol.

p.s i have to watch a lot of tv at work. you guys have some proper shit tv. bad girls club, bass fishing pro and the insanity adverts are the bane of my existence.
