I finally played it as it was on sale for like $3 schmeckles on Steam. In my opinion it was fine, but not great. I think it was over hyped that by the time I got to it, my expectations were too high?
In my opinion they focused so hard on having 800,000 different endings (most of them being 90% the same), that it caused the bulk of the game to suffer as adding any more main content would endlessly cause more complexity for the 800,000 endings.
I would have rather had 3 endings, and a game that had more actual content. The biggest "town" you come across is like 4 buildings in the Snowdin area, it was felt very much on rails. I think the humor was good, but overplayed for how "for srs" it tried to be. Meh.
