The Daily Telegraph in London reports Korean woman Hang Mioku, 48, had her first cosmetic surgery procedure at 28 and was hooked, moving to Japan for more.
Eventually surgeons refused to carry out any more work and she returned home, where her face had changed so much her family didn’t recognise her.
How can you get addicted to surgery? I mean, does it give you that rush that junkies look for?
Probably the same way you can get psychologically addicted to everything else. I imagine its a mix of having major insecurities about how you look, never feeling satisfied with the last surgery, and always wanting to look better.
Can't explain the cooking oil thing though...

Weird, this horrible disfigurement, and she asks for more surgery, and then once they do the surgery, she most likely wants more. Yay for addictions.

Well, the cooking oil can probably be explained by her need for convenience. She probably cooks a bunch between operations and needed a quick and effective way to deliver the oil to the plan. What better than sliding your oil-filled neck-pockets across a metal surface?
We were just talking about addictions today and how they work on the "rewards center" (the mesocorticalimbic system and the mesotelencephalic dopamine system).
