Reasons why you keep a crappy car in college.

Well college is a fun time, and its really easy to get chicks. Seriously I don't know why people in college spend a shit ton of money on a daily driver, huge rims, body kits, etc, to spec their car to get girls. College parties are the EASIEST place in the world to get pussy.

Doesn't matter how good a driver you are, you are in a college area. Others around you will suck. Guaranteed.

For the second winter in a row, my car has been ass raped by another driver while parked. This time, instead of the mail man hit and running on my mustang, it was a police cruiser slamming into my E36 BMW. Now, I learned my lesson, don't keep your decent car on the street, hence my '95 318iS gas saver for college times! I don't really give a shit what happens to it. Where as last year my mustang (now a show car owned by some well off prick) was side scrapped by the mail man in his van. The officer, who was undoubtedly en route to arrest the drug dealer that lives next door to me, took the corner too fast on the icy road, and his 4200 lb cruiser slid right into my car's driver side, slamming my car into and over the curb. What a way to ruin the party.

So kids, think about this when you are off to college, where you park, where you live, things to look for in apartments, and if you are looking for a car, pick something reliable. Don't care about looks, cause its coming out of college ugly anyways.

Now to go get my $4000 check from the city.

I just make sure to never drive my car to places where it could get fucked up.

I couldn't afford anything like I have now when I was in college, so I didnt care.

I like having my shitty car. Because I don't care what happens to it, I can have more fun with it.

I like having my pretty car.

I live in an off campus apartment.

Car was towed to the collision shop today, I left it at the scene since I wasn't going to pay for the towing, and there was an ice storm the next day that fucked everything up. The police report is blank, and lists only my car in the accident, which is funny, because I have 30 people who saw the result of the accident who are willing to state it in court if needed. My car magically hoped the curb and sustained heavy damage, police were on the scene!

What a fucking joke.

I am happy I spent top dollar on my truck in college because I drive it on long trips, hunting, off road, home, and around town and I wanted a vehicle I would enjoy driving. Also it carries stuff.

Of course, I am not dumb enough to park it on the street where it could get hit.

Had you waited a few years, you could have gotten a top dollar truck for half the price!

We aren't all that smart though.

Hell, buy whatever you want now, with Ford and GM in the shitter, their cars are practically free.

I'm getting even more monies now, they called today after someone else looked at it and up'd the estimate to $4500.

Meanwhile my sweet summer ride is still safely garaged back home! I just need a ride home to pick up one of the other vehicles I have laying around.
