from confused to happy to confused

So me and this girl were friends for a while. When she found out that her ex had cheated on her 4 times I was the only guy she could trust. We started getting close and eventually we started dating. That was 3 days after they broke up, I know realize that this was too soon, and I kinda realized it then. So we dated for 2 weeks and kissed and we both had a lot of fun. However her mom wasn't being the most help as she grounded her for those 2 weeks and longer. After 2 weeks this girl told me that she wasn't ready for this kind of commitment yet but that she would be and to just give it some time. I told her ok that I would be here for her and that I would wait.

During this time period we stayed close, talked a lot and hugged and held hands in between classes and during the class that we had together. It's been like this for about 2 weeks and I'm getting tired of waiting. I don't want to be waiting forever but I don't want to lose her. I can't stop thinking about her and I know she still likes me because we flirt all the time and she has told her friends that she wants to date me but that she is just not over what her ex did to her.

I don't know what I should do and I am seeking for the best advice as possible. If you can help me thanks, but it already feels good letting this all out.

Just back off for a while. She's obviously not ready for another relationship, and you were pretty much just her rebound at the time. It doesn't mean that you guys can't be friends, but don't expect her to come back around and want to be in a serious relationship with you. On the other hand, she may get over him and come back to you. Just chill and keep your options open.

In other words, don't put pressure or unfair expectations on her, just let her get over things and make up her own mind.
