As a former mainly AI poster, I actually prefer talking about politics in CI nowadays.
AI threads tended to devolve into very stilted, needlessly formal arguments that tended to kill conversation rather than encourage it. Injecting some real(TM) humour into it and maybe getting a bit derailled now and then isn't necessarily a bad thing.
to be honest and i am not being sarcastic or facetious flames often and consistently yields more intelligent debates than pretty much any incarnation of ai has
ya AI pretty much sucked. (not the mods fault)
