Live your life and Single Ladies

These two abominations to society just need to go. I can't even remember how long Live your life has been out, but these two songs have been dominating the top 2 songs on the billboard charts for I believe the last 6 weeks or so, and the radio has been overplaying both to hell and back.

Live your life I liked at first, but Single ladies is a pile of crap. If I were a boy is a much better song, and I'm not sure why T.I. and Beyonce felt the need to launch their albums with 2 singles.

It's disgusting.

edit: it looks like Lady GaGa, that tramp, knocked T.I. out of number 2 with her pile of shit song that also annoys me. Let It Rock and So What are the only 2 top 40 songs I like atm. I don't even normally listen to that shit anytime, but I have to get a CD player installed in my POS car, so I listen to the radio to kill the annoying silence.

All I gotta say is quit listening to pop radio stations. I sympathize with the fact that you don't have a CD player in your vehicle, but that doesn't mean you have to listen to shit.

Tucson just doesn't have any good stations, I can choose from:

An alternative radio station that plays shit music, An oldies station that plays shit music, A rock/metal station that just plays shitty AC/DC every hour, bobFM which plays a mixture of shit music from all eras, shit country stations, basically just shit in general.

I do mix between all the stations, but with the massive amount of shit, I just decided to just listen to the pop station.

Live Your Life is like the Lose Yourself of this year not only in the sense that it is played all over the place but also in the sense that it's a good song.

I really enjoy both songs and wish MTV would play the music videos more often.

I actually think 'If I Were A Boy' is Beyonce's best song so far (that I've heard). I would never call myself a fan or buy the song or anything, but it's certainly a decent song. I very rarely listen to 'pop' radio though.

The fact that I enjoy the Live your life song bothers me. Mostly because its just catchy. I can't really connect with mainstream rap, seeing as I'm not all about bitches and hos, I'm not rich as shit, I don't carry a gun, and I don't put a lot of value in material wealth. So when a catchy song about all that crap grabs my attention, I almost feel ashamed of myself for listening to it.

Well another possible reason why you enjoy "Live Your Life" is that the song isn't primarily about "bitches and hos", material wealth, or violence.

I just listened to Single Ladies for the first time and it sucked ass.

Live your life fell off the radar here, now it's just Single Ladies and the usual Akon produced crap.

I try not to listen to top 40 or whatever but Lady Gaga isn't bad.

Also Whatever You Like is probably the overplayed song I hate the most right now.

I like every song on T. I.'s latest album.

I think Whatever You Like is the only song by T.I. I don't like. Live Your Life is a good song, but just being way overplayed to the point of annoyance.

Listening to him playing these songs on the piano definitely brings out another aspect of the originals.

I'm not going to relay the Youtube link but David Sides is the BEST you tube piano cover guy there is.
