itt we embrace our fond memories of childhood snowdays.
when i was in 6th mn was hit by a pretty big snowstorm, and we got some late starts/closings. my friends and i gathered at this huge snowpile and within 3 days we turned it into a fort. it was so boss.
Was this important enough to have a thread?
I mean, the school in my town has a two-hour delay at least once a week for ice.
It's really nothing special.

it happened to be on a day when it took my dad about an hour to get the car out of the driveway and onto the unplowed road
i was only about 4 or 5 or so, but the snow was almost up to their waists, like everywhere

We never delayed school here. It was either an official cancellation or unofficial cancellation (buses don't run so no one shows up anyway).
We don't cancel school due to snow, but we shorten school days due to heat.
