This is one of the worst of these things I've ever seen

and I've seen a lot

The accident was a fluke and no one's fault.
The pilot handled the situation perfectly.
The passenger's didn't panic.
The rescuers responded quickly.
No one died.

It's about as good as you can expect from a disaster.

I was going say it's about as little of a disaster as one could expect from a plane crash!

I've actually been curious how a plane would act in a water landing. I guess this is what I expect.

Are they sure this wasn't due to a magnetic... event?

well some birds use the earth's magnetic field to navigate, so maybe a change in the earth's magnetic field screwed with them and made them fly into the jet's engines.

The magnetic event was in reference to LOST, but you know, that's possible too.

There was no recorded magnetic event, but an underwater bunker manned with radio-blocking equipment was found some several hundred feet below the landing point of the plane, sources say.
