My Bloody Valentine... IN 3D!

I watched My Bloody Valentine tonight and I was fairly disappointed. Please note though that I haven't seen the original.

Plot: The overall story was actually better than I expected, but at the same time, I wasn't expecting much. The writing was the best part of the movie but that's only because...

3D: The visuals sucked complete ass. The reason why I went to a 3D movie was to be blown away by visuals. Oh there were some cool effects here and there. However, most of the 3D effects were similar pickaxe shots and that got old quickly.

Boobs: Yes.

Overall Reaction: I'm glad I was high when I saw it.

Well that's the second not so good review of the film that I've heard, so I'm thinking that I won't go watch it. That's sad too because I enjoy 3d movies.

Avatar will probably be the first 3D movie I watch.

The first one that I watched was A Nightmare Before Christmas. It was pretty much phenomenal.

I saw some of it, and it was badass. I've always wanted a miner killer.

Do they kill a midget? Fuck yes they do.

Are there tits and cooch? Fuck yes, there are 10 minutes of them bouncing around in fear.


This is horror at it's finest.

I mean, they fudged up the story some, but they 3d effect was actually really cool, especially in IMAX

they had an imax screening of 300 on it's premiere night in toronto

but i found out abuot it an hour after it started :(

I saw it tonight, it was pretty bad. I was expecting to be a lot more scared, but it was more funny than scary. 3D was cool at first, but it got repetitive at times.. I wish I could get my $10.50 back.

If it wasn't in 3D, the movie would have been so much more annoying. I did enjoy it, but only because it was 3D - the first I've seen in the cinema. Some of the effects shots were done very, very well, although by the second time the audience had a gun pointed at it, I felt that had done that gimmick a few times too many.

Best when seen with a crowd, as there were audible gasps with the gun point and so forth.

But I mean, plot wise -

]In the original, the killer was Axel. It wasn't Tom's fault the mine blew up, 2 supervisors left to go a Valentine's Day party, one of them being Axel's father. Harry Warden came back and killed the two supervisors for abdandoning their post, killing Axel's father right in front of him. Warden left a warning that should Valentine's day be celebrated, he would come back. But he dies in a sanitarium, and they start celebrating V-day again. Axel takes up the mantel.

In the new one, Tom is the killer... I mean, yes, I saw that coming. I knew they wouldn't use Axel again. But it sucks that a movie has to lie to the audience so they won't anticipate the twist. This wasn't even a Fight Club clever type lie - the fight scene between Tom and 'Harry' when he gets shoved, and locked in a cage and then Harry murders someone while Tom is locked in a cage and watching renders the entire idea that Tom is the killer as implausible. Because it's a cheat. It's a huge fuggin' cheat, godammit. Oh well.

Not terrible, but I did expect a little more.

I dream of a day when 3D technology is the norm and titles no longer have to include the gimmicky "XXXX 3D!"

I'm not expecting much out of this, only watching it because my girlfriend and our friends want to. Gonna watch it next week =/, i'd rather watch something else....

I kinda wanna see this


But I doubt I ever will because Christ I am lazy
