Sweet tasting indulgence of an idiot

Right, let me say first and foremost, my mind was basking in a jacuzzi of guiness when i wrote this, please take that into your calculations when reading it. Many regards.

Sweet Tasting Indulgence of an Idiot

Friday night, sat at home, the weeks been long and hard,
You disserve a rest, a bit of fun is surely what you think,
The kids next door, still out at ten, playing in the yard,
The hell with this, get your keys, head out for a drink.

You’re at your local, pint in left hand, pool cue in the right,
Asides the tough guy at the bar giving you the evil eye,
It’s shaping up to looking to be a pretty damn good night,
But then this prick put on his pride, and fists begin to fly.

He threw a punch, it found its target, you’re eye would soon be black,
You know you couldn’t take this guy without a good old bat,
You do what most would anyway, you go and smack him back,
And it’s no surprise to you of course, when he knocks you right out flat.

So you made a stand, you stood your ground, and for it took a beating,
Got carted off in an ambulance, but it could have been much worse,
Remember life is to short for pointless punch-ups, life is far too fleeting,
Be glad you left via ambulance, not laid in the back of a hearse.

I'm not sure how many hearses take dead bodies away from the scene of their murder. I'm pretty sure it's usually done by ambulance.

Otherwise it's a nice fun little poem. Doesn't need the stupidly pretentious title though.

Yes don't worry about it Atmosfear i understand, a typo trully is a horrific event, quite frankly im surprised you managed to muster up the effort to post that very statement, i know i wouldnt have demonstrated such vim. You are trully a credit to the internet.

I'm curious as to the reason for your interest in my work coqauvin. To give a critical comment on a poem you find and dislike is fair enough, but you are the last to comment on all my poems.
