Embarassing sex problem

So I'm pretty sure my girlfriend has an infection. I don't think it's an STD because I was only with 2 girls before her, and I have gotten tested because I found out the second girl I was with lied to me about a lot of things so I figured she might have lied about her sex history, so I went to Planned Parenthood and got tested just to be sure, and I was clean. I also don't think my GF is cheating on me. She was a virgin before me, and we waited about 6 months to have sex so I doubt she's turned into a nympho all of a sudden. I mean anything's possible but STDs aren't the first thing on my list of possibilities.

Anyway here's what's going on. Her family went on vaca to Florida and when she came back she had a yeast infection from swimming all the time, going around in a wet suit and being in the humidity. So she got the stuff for it and it cleared up. We obviously didn't do anything sexual during that time. About 2 weeks after that though, I started to notice that, for lack of a way to be coy about it, her pussy started to stink. Kind of a musty, stale smell and believe me it wasn't pleasant. Now we just did it today (which is about a month from when this all started) and when I pulled out, there was all this yellow junk all over the condom and the smell was nauseating. Before, her normal discharge was clear or a little white and had a smell, but nothing gross. Seriously, today it disgusted me and it was all I could do not to say something really rude.

Needless to say I have no desire at all to touch her or have sex with her even with condoms (which we always use), least of all go down on her which she loves, and also I'm worried about her health. Even if it's just a regular infection, those can get serious right? I'm also wondering how the hell SHE can not notice something's wrong, or if she's just choosing to ignore it.

Is there any nice way at all to bring this up with her, or should I just plan to get kicked in the nuts either way? I mean I have to do something, she's going to wonder why I don't want to do anything with her.

I'd love to help, but I honestly don't know a way to bring this up without her feeling bad. You might have to just bite the bullet and tell her anyways, that needs to be taken care of.

Sounds like she still has a yeast infection. Figure out a way to kindly tell her "hey baby, I love you but we need to get some more medicine because I don't think that yeast infection you got from the humidity in Florida cleared up all the way, it doesn't smell very good down there"

Scarf is right. Be careful though. If I'm not mistaken you could have gotten a UTI or something from the yeast infection.

Yeah she can't take the pill or anything else hormonal because she's taking another med it won't work with so I always have to wrap it up.

I just can't think of a way to do this. I talked to her tonight and the whole time I was like "you need to tell her" and I just couldn't do it. It was really awkward too since she was talking about stuff she wants to try and the only way I felt was grossed out. I mean the only thing I can think of is just to come out with it and be like "yeah the last time we had sex on Saturday, I noticed you have some discharge that isn't normal and a smell, I don't think we should do anything until you get it checked out." And maybe offer to go with her so it doesn't look like I'm an ass that's disgusted with her body? How does that sound?

Sounds good to me. There is not way to say it that won't be awkward so just get it out there and say it.

What about monistat? What medication is she on that interacts with everything?

Yeah, I just told mine. I mean, it wasn't bothersome and it didn't linger, but all I said was, "Hey, I think you might have an infection or something." It's only as awkaward as you make it.

Well, I ended up telling her last night. She was trying to start stuff, and I didn't let it get started, instead I told her that I thought her infection hadn't gone away, and we probably shouldn't have sex or do anything like that until she got checked out, because it probably wasn't a good idea to irritate things any further.

I said almost exactly this when it was clear that she wanted her kissing me to go somewhere: "Hey...uh...stop for a second, OK? Last weekend when we were together, and I probably should have said something then, when I went to take the condom off I saw you had some discharge that isn't the way it normally is and it smelled a little off. I'm thinking maybe that yeast infection you had didn't go away so it's probably not a good idea to do anything sexual until you get it rechecked. If you want I can go with you, I don't have class on Tuesdays and Thursday I'm done at 11 so if you want me to do that, shoot for one of those times."

I honestly think she's being ridiculously immature about the whole thing, and totally in denial because she HAS to notice something isn't right. To give a frame of reference this (well I've never seen any discharge but sometimes shit just smells bad whether it's from working out or whatever the hell goes down down there, I don't want to know) is something my girl flips out about and then apologizes for being a bitch later when she realizes that it's not a fucking big deal and she wouldn't have my dick in her mouth if it smelled or tasted bad enough.

She just went off on me about how I've seen too many Summer's Eve commercials, and all women have a scent etc etc and I need to pull my head out of my ass and realize that it's not good for girls to douche and they're not supposed to smell like a boquet of flowers.

Well yeah I knew that, but I don't think they're supposed to smell like my basement when I've left a bucket of minnows down there and forgot about it either!

I tried to calm her down and tell her that this problem is RECENT, in no way do I think she smells bad when things are healthy (I don't, that's the total truth, I actually like her scent normally) and it's no big deal at all to go to the doctor to get checked out for an infection millions of women get all the time. If I'm not mistaken it's bad to let female infections go because they can turn into pelvic infections and I'd hate to see that happen just because she wouldn't go in for a quick check and some simple meds.

Whatever. If she wants to be like this about it, maybe whoever gets her next doesn't have a nose and doesn't care if she's healthy or not.

She's being way immature, and if she knew anything about vaginal health, she'd know that any discharge which was fish smelly and not anything but clear (or maybe occasionally somewhat milky) indicates an infection of some sort.

She needs to be educated, and I'm afraid you're the one that has to do it.
