Some really strange spyware?

It looks like I've got some strange spyware on my hands. Every time I use a search engine, no matter what links I click, it always brings up something such as the yellowpages or some travel site. It doesn't matter what I search or which search engine I use, it's always the same. I'm using spybot and AVG but they don't seem to have found the culprit.

Anyone have any idea of how I could purge this damn thing from my system? I've already uninstalled my web browser and reinstalled it, and that worked for a bit but unfortunately this damn bug is back. Any suggestions or solutions are greatly appreciated.

I've had similar problems with Spyware like that. I used a program by PC Tools called "Spyware Doctor". The free download only scans your computer, but I'm sure if you are clever enough you can find a way to get a copy that scans and deletes.

Once I used it all my spyware problems were gone. It's a fantastic program. Took care of the problem that Ad Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy wouldn't fix.

I also would suggest Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware. They have a pay version too, but the differences are negligible. Got rid of the nasty Anti-virus 2009 that was spread around not too long ago.

Great program and really, using more than one program is always a good idea in case one misses something.

I just used Spyware Doctor and it seems to have fixed the problem. It was a nasty little trojan virus that somehow snuck up on me. Anyway, after this massive head ache I am planning on using more then one problem so I'm probably going to get all of these programs you suggested. Thanks everyone!
