I'd like a program or a guide to making WMP skins. I'm a complete newb to it. As far as programming experience goes, well, I can do BASIC actionscripting and HTML, so if I'm getting into something that's way above my ability level, tell me.
This article was a little confusing for me.
Are there any (free) programs that can make WMP skins? Thanks.

You use windows media player?
I like it better than Win Amp, but that's not the issue in this thread...

As with probably most people on this forum, I don't use WMP, but I did some googling (as I'm sure you did) and the general consensus is that it's complex to make a skin, but possible. I couldn't find any automated program that could do it.
On the other hand I didn't really search for that long.
