I have my 5.1 stereo system hooked up to my computer, but I also want to have it get the audio from my Xbox 360 somehow. They are both hooked up to my monitor(computer using DVI and 360 using HDMI). So does anyone know of a way to get this set up, my monitor speakers suck ass so they don't cut it for my 360 audio.
I don't suppose your stereo system has digital audio in? The 360, should have digital audio out and you could always do that.

You could always get that too. My buddy has one and it works great. The audio cables will allow you to plug into your stereo although it won't be true 5.1, just simulated.
No that wouldn't work, I found out I need a RCA Female to 3.5mm Male and plug it into the microphone jack to get audio from my computer speakers.
Don't want to get a RCA female to 3.5mm female, and plug it directly to your speakers?Quote:

My friend has his 360 plugged into these and they work with 5.1. They do a decent job of simulating 5.1. But with his stereo system you're probably right.
Your TV has no audio besides headphones?
