Nope, sorry, they are better than crap. Only the US and China have larger defense budgets.
Defense budget =/= military strength. Granted they're probably in the top ten but after the top five the dropoff is so huge that everything under that is irrelevant.
The only people that matter from a military standpoint are Russia, China, U.S.(#1 bitches) and Israel. Special mentions go out to Iran and Germany. France and England rank about equal imo. Equally unimportant that is. Hahahahahaha look I made a joke.

I'll give you Iran because that was just an honorable mention in my list, but if you don't believe that Israel has a powerful, well trained and significant military that puts them at least in the top five I can't have a serious discussion with you on the topic. I guess we should probably clarify what we mean by "importance", then. I wouldn't consider Israel's military to be particularly "important" because it's not particularly large, it lacks serious force projection capability, and is basically limited to localized operations.
