The Real Ghostbusters!

Does anyone remember The Real Ghostbusters? It used to be my favorite cartoon, and then it completely slipped off of my radar. A few weeks ago I found out that it's been released for the first time on DVD! Season 1 just came out and I picked it up from amazon the other day.

It's awesome! The episodes all have introductions by random cast/crew who give a bit of a behind the scenes info about the show. There are also some commentaries, a "making of"documentary, and a lot of other cool stuff.

does anyone else have it?

I barely remember it.

About all I can remember are vaguely some of the characters and the parade that accompanied the ending credits.

Also, it was called The Real Ghostbustesrs to distinguish it from another cartoon called The Ghostbusters which was both far less popular and not as good.

I actually enjoyed Extreme Ghost Busters more.

All I know is that the guy who voiced Ray was the same guy who voiced Garfield in the cartoon. Then Bill Murray did the voice for Garfield in the movie and I was literally the ONLY PERSON ON THE PLANET who found that interesting...

I found it interesting. Oh, and Time Life released the ENTIRE SERIES in a box set a while back. I have purchased it.

I used to watch this show everyday when i was younger. I've been really anticipating the video game and got really excited when i saw this. Does anyone know where i can get the best prices for volume 1, or when volume 2 may be coming out?

Peter Venkman was played by Bill Murray in the movie and Lorenzo Music in the cartoon.

Garfield was played by Bill Murray in the movie and Lorenzo Music in the cartoon.

Therefore: Peter Venkman = Garfield.
