Did anyone just watch the Kimbo Slice fight Seth Petruzelli ?

Kimbo got knocked the fuck out.

I was pretty surprised.

Sucks for Kimbo; he just got downgraded from "Mythological creature" to "scary black man with beard"

As expected Kimbo lost. I'm pretty glad, he did nothing for the sport of MMA except make it spectacle and a joke. Tonight Kimbo had his first test and he didn't pull through and EliteXC is also now in danger since their golden boy was knocked out in a very quick and decisive fashion.

Moved to sports even though its not really a sport

Glad to see Kimbo lost, however I really had been looking forward to seeing said beatdown being issued by Shamrock.

Gina's fight was lame, I agree with the announcer that they need to to give women 5-min rounds as well - most of Gina's match was just being locked up trying to fight off the single-leg takedown. I liked the end though where she kept better separation with bigger kicks.

Atmosfear - why do you say this isn't a sport? It's just as much a sport as boxing, roman-greco wrestling, or a karate championship. Granted it is cheesy and overadvertised but the fact that it is is a sport or not has nothing to do with the operations of the league. The fighters are the very definition of athlete.

It's a sport the same way that the XFL was a sport.

I've watched the vid like 5 times, I don't see why kimbo just fell down, like the kick didn't look like anything from seth.

Oh well, they should put brock and kimbo in the cage together. Two new guys who don't know shit.

Please tell me how Kimbo fell from that hit? Did he lose his balance or something because that jab had no power behind it. At least, not enough to knock him out like that.

He should've lost that fight with the dude that had the fucked up ear. He's way too slow and out of shape. And at least that fight was worth watching.

It doesn't take much power to knock someone down if you hit them in the chin from that angle. Take for example A. Silva vs. J. Irvin. Silva was on one leg much like Petruzelli was, and took Irvin out with a clean, precise blow that had very little power behind it.

It's just a matter of Kimbo Claus having no business being in that cage with his level of experience. He's ok as long as he can fight washed up nobodies that are no threat to anyone.

I have never heard Dana White use the word fuck so infrequently.

He gets on my nerves though.

I like how Kimbo got the spotlight and the appluase for the introduction.

I watched the fight and thought it was pretty sad. They called the fight a little too soon, even if Kimbo was bleeding. I've seen more blood in whelter-weight boxing matches.

Though I agree that if you hit anyone clean enough on the button they will go out. Your example was pretty bad since Irvin was the one on one leg and Anderson caught the kick and knocked him out.
