Well what kind of music do you like to listen to?
If I'm running or biking, I'll usually put on some sort of electronic music (LCD Soundsystem, MSTRKRFT, Dan Deacon)
I'd check out the album 45:33 by LCD Soundsystem.
i like any music, but rock mainly
ill try anything when im excercising especially, need something to keep me in the mood so variety is better in some ways
ive listened to some of 45:33 and i liked it a little bit, so nice suggestion but done already
I listen to primarily Metal when I lift. Just because it gets me going, everything else kind of distracts me.
Try some older Red Hot Chili Peppers, from when they still had the heavy P-Funk influence. That kind of thing usually works pretty well for me. It's hard to make suggestions for this kind of thing because everyone responds to different songs in a different way.
(Comedy option/serious suggestion - Try listening to Dethalbum when you work out.)
I know you said you listen to rock however.

when i was running, i developed a taste for rap music. it made timing my steps for pacing so much easier when i knew which songs fit which speeds better. unfortunately, my knowledge of rap music is pretty limited, but I would throw on some biggie, eminem, jedi mind tricks and jon lajoie (ftw)
if you have the ability to lose focus and still work out properly (zoning out, etc) i can't recommend electronic music enough
the nature of what the music exists for (long periods of uninterrupted dancing) aligns perfectly with what i need in workout/running music
Liquid Tension Experiment
Youngblood Brass Band
Barabass and the Happy Few
Beastie Boys (the funky album)
Red Hot Chilli Peppers (what djwolford said about the funk but possibly go as recent as One Hot Minute)
Slap in some Rage for the angry/determined workout times.
