Looking for a webcam

Hey guys, I was wondering what webcams you guys would suggest for me. I have a Logitech that is quite old but doesn't work on Vista [x64] >=[.

Lame, but I'm looking for a new one, preferably one that can be found at best buy since I have a $50 Gift card to there.

My budget is around $60 and I'm just looking for something with good video quality, no need for a [good] microphone since i already have my external microphone that works wonders. No brand favored but here are a few I was looking at so far that you may be able to help me choose from.

I've read most of the reviews on these and they all seem good but I just can't make a decision. I have another 2 weeks till I go out and buy it since I left my gift card somewhere else. If you guys find any other online deals at other stores though with free shipping or what not feel free to post.

I recently did a lot of research on the subject, and the Logitech is definitely the best of those three according to the ridiculous amounts of reviews I read. I actually went to Best Buy with the intention of getting the Logitech camera you pointed to, but I ended up getting this beauty (unfortunately is 90 dollar, but has a really great Carl Zeiss lens): http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1179165373839

Either way, the Logitech has noticeably better optics from everything I've seen out of those three.

the best buy rep suggested a Creative - Live! Cam Video IM Ultra Webcam which is what I got, i compared it to the other good ones and the price tag said $50 but at the register it was $40. and the selection wasn't as big as i was expecting but oh well.

lol fuck though the box said nothing about it for laptops/desktops, and there was a picture of it being on top of a flat screen, but the link on bestbuy says for laptops. but whatever..doesn't matter. Let's hope it lasts for my LDR with my imaginary girlfriend...

A good web cam (a good whatever in fact) is one that can cover your needs. So my next question is what do you intend to do with it? How important is video quality and sound quality? A resolution of 320x240 should more than enough for most people, it won't be impressive, but you should be able to work-out fine details if the bandwidth is sufficient. As for sound, if you want good quality, I suggest you get a separate headset unit or at least a microphone. Otherwise, what is built-in does the job, but don't expect much from it.
