Just installed Ubuntu... Need some help getting everything setup...

My Windows laptop crashed, so I decided that I need to use that 200 GB HDD I have thats been laying around. I put it in the laptop and downloaded an Ubuntu install disc on another computer, and here I am. I have it all up and running, wireless internet works, and I was able to get most of my files from the old HDD.

Now down to the things I need help with. First off, youtube doesn't work on it. And something else Id like to be able to do is get all the book marks off of the old HDD from firefox and copy them to the new HDD.

Im sure Ill have other questions later, but for now thats it.

Another thing I found is that .gif files dont work.

Look in here on your hdd for a bookmarks.html:
C:\Documents and Settings\your-acct\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\qmhbxlr3.default\

qmhbxlr3 may be called something different depending on your version. Also, this is assuming you had XP.

Also, Image Viewer should view your gifs. Use apt-get to search for the package name.

I know this seems obvious but have you installed Flash yet? If you have already [ame="http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1295520"]here's a solution found on the ubuntu forums[/ame].

Btw Ubuntu has a great forum, with almost any question you might have already answered. I mean no offense to "Technology Today" but if you rather not wait for a reply, I'd check http://ubuntuforums.org/ first.
