So I am working as a Night Auditor for a certain hotel chain that has done very well for it's self. However, since I gotta go over all their numbers, I must dive deep into their very dated computer database. Now here's the thing, despite our millions of dollar budgets, we still run on a DOS program.
It drives me nuts!
I have no prior experiences in DOS and sometimes things go critically wrong, such as right now. Every time I hit a key on the DOS server, gibberish pops up and begins running across the screen. I have restarted the computer twice and get the same result (hey, I was hoping for a miracle) so now here I am, telling my problems to our server's tech help computer, and hoping I can finish the rest of my work with the hard copies of our income reports.
DAMN YOU DOS!
Oh, and if anyone has any experience with DOS, mind giving me a few pointers? Anything, even problems that I might face sooner or later will be a big help. Thanks in advance!
