Has anyone else tried this out? Wondering what other people's thoughts on the game so far are. I personally think the bullet drop effect makes sniping much more satisfying. But I don't like that it takes 20 rounds to the face to kill someone.

That sounds a lot like BF2 was for PC (bullet drop was a pain and it really did take a ton to kill -- not so much due to lack of weapon power but everything was damn inaccurate). I don't have the PC power for BFBC2 but I'm anxious for the PS3 version.
Even though its just a beta at the moment, I think its fantastic. I agree that sometimes it can take a whole clip to kill someone if you just spray, firing in short bursts works well.
Im having so much fun, I never played the first bad company but just some of the things that can happen, the other day I was sniping out of a loft in a building, and someone on the other team just came along in a helicopter and demolished the building.
I liked the first one. And Ive been watching some videos on BC2 on youtube. Ill be getting it for 360 when it comes out.
I've been having a blast with it. Sure there are quite a few bugs as of now, but I can't wait till they fix them and the real game comes out, already pre-ordered : )
As I'm pretty sure someone has already said in this thread but i can't be bothered to scroll up and double check, of course there will be bugs in a beta, that is why they have betas, so they can find and fix the bugs.
Anyone who complains about there being loads of bugs in a beta is a total fool.
I finally tried out the demo after it sitting on my hdd for a week, and I'm excited enough that I'm at least considering going to get a preorder (not from gamestop thought, fuck them). I still don't feel like I'm playing BF2 but I doubt I ever will (the BF2/COD2 days are not much more than a fond memory at this point), and this is a lot closer than BFBC (worth all $20 I paid for it though!).
Demo is limited as hell though, still the single map they give you didn't get old after playing a few hours.
I also started up an Uncharted 2 demo I've had sitting around along with a little of the Heavy Rain demo... both of which put BFBC2's visuals to shame but they're obviously two (or three) very different game genres.
