Operation Titstorm
Australia is banning images depicting "women with small breasts" and female ejaculation, whether real or illustrated. What do you guys think?
Im not going to describe the entire situation, just google "operation titstorm"
Anonymous have picked up on this and are crusading in their usual nerd way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APvQcVB3U6M&NR=1
I like how on the users page someone left the comment "Great video, you are still going VERY easy on Kevin Rudd despite his very key role. We should consider a boycott on Austria."

Frankly, I'm almost happier the more is banned by this fucked up censorship project. The more there is banned, the more outraged the people of this stupid, complacent country will get, and the quicker the entire thing will fall to pieces.
That said, I haven't read or heard anything about "banning images of small breasts or female ejaculation", so I don't know where this information is coming from and I take it with a grain of salt. The small breasts thing is vaguely plausible, I suppose, given Minister Conroy's almost suspicious preoccupation with child pornography, but the ejaculation thing is just inexplicable to the point of being bizarre. I mean, there's stupid reasons, and there are non-reasons, and "that it is a myth" is a non-reason for banning porn of it.
EDIT: Well, some simple googling answered some questions, but a few minutes of searching didn't find anything quite authoritative enough for me to completely buy it. In any case, what's to be discussed here? Is anyone, anywhere going to come out and say this is even a remotely understandable proposal?

Well I was hoping for a discussion of censorship of the internet generally, using this as an example. I know the original post wasnt aiming directly at that but I didnt want to strictly direct a discussion.
Anonymous is another thing I would like to talk about. I'm considering writing my disertation on the subject of internet identities and post-avatar stress disorder, so this is quite an interesting case study.
The fact that I raise it here is also part of my plans. By discussing it in the internet realm and using an internet identity myself, I hope to benefit from a new perspective.
EDIT: i mean post-avatar stress disorder as in an internet avatar, stress in "RL" casued by the removal of the internet personality by means of romoving ones self from the internet. NOT the depression people claim to have suffered once they realise Pandora isnt real and you'll never be ten feet tall and blue. The two are obviously linked but PASD has come to be film specific.

I was under the impression the government was censoring those "less endowed" up top. This clears it up some, as well as your title.Likes like a first step for internet shutdown in Australia.I think there is a difference between breaking the law agreed with by the people, and resisting unlawful suppression imposed by those trying to control information one step at a time.

how is "less endowed" better than "small"?

Sigh. I was hoping her protest was going to be a bit more... emphatic. Ifyaknowwhaddamean.
