McDonald v. Chicago
Just realized that this wasn't posted here. Here's a link to the transcript.

Looks pretty good, though I admit that the NRA let me down just a little by making such a conservative argument. I suppose prudence dictates that they do so, but just a little idealism can't hurt that much.

I read the first 20 or so pages, then I remembered how much I hate legal crap.

Well, here's hoping this gets decided the right way. We should be seeing a decision by the end of the summer. Fingers crossed.

Damn, I don't know where you found that so early. I don't know if I have a cache issue or what, but I kept looking for that and never saw it posted until a couple days ago. From what I've read so far, I'm fairly disappointed Alan Gura didn't just say something like "yes, it'll be sticky doing this under privileges & immunities, but 150 years of shit law since Slaughterhouse isn't my fault, nor is it the fault of my client so clean up the mess you made, plzkthx."
On the whole, though, I think the justices have shown so far they are reluctant to deny incorporation to second amendment rights so if all you care about is the specific outcome you're probably on good grounds betting with McDonald's victory.

On a related note, Arizona is on the brink of adopting Alaska/Vermont style CCW laws.
